Membership Event Meet and Greet: April 16 in Guelph

The Canadian Evaluation Society - Ontario Chapter is pleased to host our semi-annual Membership Meet and Greet Event! You are invited to join evaluators in Guelph-Kitchener-Waterloo-Cambridge area for complimentary appetizers/light dinner, cash bar, and an opportunity to engage in good conversation with seasoned and emerging evaluators. Miijidaa serves Canadian, English, French, and Indigenous-inspired cuisine, and is located an 8-minute walk from the Guelph Central GO Station. Vegetarian options are available.

This will be a casual opportunity to meet and network with people from the evaluation field including:

Harry Cummings
Harry is the current president of the Canadian Evaluation Society and director of Harry Cummings and Associates (based in Guelph).

Andrew Taylor
Andrew is a program evaluation practitioner and co-owner of Taylor Newberry Consulting (based in Guelph).

Kelly Skinner
Kelly Skinner is an Assistant Professor in the School of Public Health at the University of Waterloo and the program lead for the Masters of Health Evaluation.

Cost: CES Ontario members: free!  // Non-members: $20 // Student non-members $10

Be part of our partnership with the Ontario Trillium Foundation!

Want to help build evaluation capacity in the non-profit sector? Share your experience! CES Ontario is partnering with the Ontario Trillium Foundation (OTF) to build capacity in Ontario’s Public Benefit Sector. We're looking for evaluators who are experienced in OTF's Connected People Action Area to be part of a panel in the GTA in May. We are also looking for non-profit organizations with which you may have worked, that might be interested in joining to talk about their experience in doing evaluation in relation to Connected People.

Please let us know if you are interested in being on the panel by completing this short survey. Survey deadline is March 22, 2018. Please contact admin@evaluationontario.ca with any questions.

 
 

Reminder: ESS registration still open

CES Ontario is pleased to offer our foundational professional development course, the Essential Skills Series, this April in Guelph, Ontario. Taught by John Allen, this four-day workshop focuses on laying a solid practical groundwork for evaluation professionals.
