Dr. James M. Wallace is Policy and Research Analyst, Socioeconomics and Education in the Policy and Knowledge Mobilization department at The Learning Partnership (TLP), Canada’s largest education not-for-profit. With more than 400,000 students and 18,000 Educators participating in its programs each year, TLP is at the forefront of teaching and learning in Canada. As a key member of TLP’s research and evaluation team, James is heavily involved in the development of ethical and innovative measurement tools, and for driving the latest thinking on teaching and learning. He is a passionate believer that constant improvement in the design, collection and analysis of data obtained through student programs and activities is an incredibly effective method of advancing TLP's mission to champion public education across Canada. Before joining TLP, he worked as Project Officer, Innovation in Practice at McGill University, acting as liaison between the university and Montreal’s Quartier de l’innovation (innovation district). He holds a PhD in media and communications history from McGill University, an MSc in Economic and Social History from the University of Edinburgh, and his research interests include: the past and future of global communications, global learning and competencies, and education-to- employment.
