The Art & Science of Producing Effective Infographics
Please join Dr. Sid Ali for an interactive half-day workshop exploring how to create effective, thoughtful visual representations of evaluation data. This workshop includes an overview of different types of data visualizations, and a survey of design theory and thought leaders in the field. The bulk of the presentation is a deep dive on how design elements such as colour, font, and graphics work together with data to effectively communicate information. There will be a Q&A period as part of the workshop.

This four-day course provides new and emerging evaluation practitioners with an essential understanding of the field. Please join John Allen as he gives an overview of the main models and practices of evaluation, including question construction, logic models, data collection and design, and project management. Theoretical elements of evaluation, such as ethics, terminology, and common settings of evaluation will also be covered. Participants who attend the course are entitled to a Certificate of Completion from the Canadian Evaluation Society.
