The Canadian Evaluation Society Ontario Chapter (CES-ON) is committed to offering professional development opportunities in support of our mission, which is that:

CES-Ontario supports evaluation and its practitioners in the public, private and not-for-profit sectors in Ontario through professional development, standards, member support, education and the promotion of evaluation.

Professional development workshops are offered throughout the year to engage Evaluators and CES-Ontario members across Ontario, and to achieve this standard of excellence in evaluation.

We offer our introductory Essential Skills Series course two to three times each year, and other intermediate level courses on an ongoing basis.

Intermediate level workshops may include:

  • Theory of Change (2 days)
  • Survey Design (2 days)
  • Logic Models (2 days)
  • Performance Measurement for Improved Results (2 days)
  • Qualitative Methods in Program Evaluation (2 days)

Certificates are provided to those who fully complete any of our workshops.

Maintaining a roster of qualified presenters and regular review of workshop materials ensures the content of our workshops is relevant and up-to-date for new and experienced Evaluators alike..
