To Our Members, Partners, and Volunteers:

The Board of Directors of the Canadian Evaluation Society – Ontario Chapter (CES-ON) has been closely monitoring the emerging COVID-19 situation. We sincerely hope that you and your family are safe, in good health and coping with the increasing social isolation brought about by the pandemic. For those of you with family and friends in other parts of the world who are suffering, our heart goes out to you and them during this difficult time.

CES-ON is committed to doing our part to #FlattenTheCurve. In compliance with the recommendations by Public Health Canada, we will not be offering any in-person events until such time as the current social distancing recommendations are changed and these types of activities are declared safe by Public Health Canada. Online events will continue as scheduled. In-person events will be reviewed for a change in format to online delivery. If you have registered for an upcoming, in-person CES-ON event, we’ll be reaching out by email shortly with further information about your session. If an online event is postponed for any reason, we will notify all registrants by email immediately. In response to the uncertainty caused by the COVID-19 situation, CES-ON has revised their refund policy to take the risk out of registering for one of our professional development events:

“If, for any reason, you prefer not to go ahead with your participation in one of our professional development events, you can cancel at any time and receive a 100% refund.  If you wish to cancel, please contact Kaitlyn by email at admin@evaluationontario.ca.”

The Canadian Evaluation Society’s 2020 Conference, Evaluation Utilization: Achieving our potential?, has been postponed until 2021. Please consult their website directly for further information about the conference at https://evaluationcanada.ca/.
