CES Ontario is a working volunteer board, where directors have direct impact on organization strategy and operations. Benefits of joining the CES Ontario Board of Directors include:

- Experience how an organization functions effectively in a virtual environment. As our directors are spread across the Province, we have been meeting remotely for years. Our virtual set-up is a distinct advantage for those who want to volunteer safely during the current pandemic.
Nominations for 2020-23 Term This year the Board is recruiting for four (4) vacancies for the upcoming 3-year term and has nine (9) in-term or continuing directors for a Board total of thirteen (13) directors. Chapter members who meet the following requirements are encouraged to apply:
- Are members-in-good-standing, able to secure support for their nomination;
- Have leadership experience serving on a Board of Directors or as a Committee/ work group member, either in their professional or volunteer roles;
- Have experience and expertise in any of the following areas:
- Governance development with experience in change management within the social, public or corporate sectors
- Communications, marketing and social within the education, training and/or social sector
- Partnership Development within the social and public sectors
- Grant development and fundraising in the social and public sectors
- Volunteer recruitment and management
- Instructional design for adult learners particularly in the online space
- Can commit to 4-6 volunteer hours per month including a 2-hour monthly virtual meeting; and
- Believe in our vision and mission, and in upholding our organizational values (see here).

Monday June 8, 2020 at 11:59pm. Please note that members of the Nomination Committee cannot support a nomination due to conflict of interest. The Nominations Committee will review all eligible applications, and applicants may be invited for a discussion with a member of the Committee.
Successful applicants will be invited to provide their name and biography for inclusion into the Slate of Nominees, which is presented to the members at the Annual General Meeting for their review and election to the Board of Directors on June 23, 2020.
