CES C2021 Virtual Conference Sponsorship for 60 Indigenous Evaluators
This year's Canadian Evaluation Society (CES) Conference ‘Evaluation Utilization: Achieving our potential’ will be held virtually on May 9-14, 2021. The Conference theme of Evaluation Utilization examines the actual and potential use of evaluation and a sub-theme of marginalization examines equity in evaluation use. The CES is providing sponsorship and free registration to 60 Canadian Indigenous delegates to attend the 2021 Virtual Conference. Increasing the presence and participation of Indigenous presenters is part of the Conference's objective to uphold TRC Truth and Reconciliation Commission (TRC) Calls to Action and the United Nations Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples. Consistent with the Canadian Evaluation Society's overarching commitment to Truth and Reconciliation, this Conference has prioritized Active Reconciliation as one of four values to guide C2021 content and design. Additional core values of the Conference include: bilingualism, sustainability, and EDI (Equity, Diversity and Inclusion.) We invite Indigenous Canadians from Ontario chapter who would like to attend the Conference to please contact Kaitlyn Kochany at admin@evaluationontario.ca by March 14th. Please visit https://c2021.evaluationcanada.ca to find out more about this year’s C2021 Virtual Conference and the many plenary workshops.
