Attend an e-ESS, receive $50 towards advanced PD
CES Ontario is pleased to introduce a $50 credit for professional development learners. Sign up for any 2020 e-Essential Skills Series offered by the chapter, and receive a discount code towards any intermediate or advanced course or workshop in 2020 or 2021. We acknowledge the unique challenges the evaluation community has faced in the last few months, and we want to support learners as they move from foundational learning into more advanced and focused learning topics. This is not only for CES members – this credit is available to anyone who attends an e-ESS. Our 2020 intermediate and advanced topics include The Art and Science of Effective Data Visualization and Strategic Project Management for Evaluators, with new topics coming in 2021. Please share widely with your networks! We are looking forward to seeing you online in 2020 and beyond. Please contact Kaitlyn at admin@evaluationontario.ca with questions or help with registration.

Data visualization as a hot topic in the evaluation world, especially in knowledge transfer activities. This webinar will focus on infographics: an artistic or graphic presentation of data to communicate insights. We will orient infographics in the realm of data visualization, illustrating the different types of infographics, then switch our focus to the science of why we use infographics in communicating to our various audiences. The workshop offers a step-by-step process to create infographics, and including relevant design elements of graphics, colour, and font, which all provide visual cues to our most important element: the data. We will then put these elements together with examples, and look at some resources and tools for infographic production. The session will conclude with a short question and answer period.
